/ Regional Executive Board - REB

The Regional Executive Board (REB) is made up of seven (7) elected regional officers. This include the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Regional Secretary, Deputy Regional Secretary, Regional Treasurer, Regional Women’s Commissioners and Two Other Members, all elected by the Regional Executive Committee. The REB meets at least once every month. Its meetings are chaired by the Regional Chairperson who provides leadership to the union at the regional level and represent the region at the National Executive Council. The REB works with the national organs to ensure proper organisation and protection of welfare of members at the regional level.

Presently, there exist ten (10) REBs in Ghana. However, with the creation of six (6) new administrative regions, efforts are being made to create new REBs to complement all sixteen (16) regions in Ghana. Until then, the Northern REB manages the Northern, Savanna, and North-East Region; the Brong Ahafo REB manages the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions; the Volta REB manages both Volta and Oti Regions and the Western Regions manages the Western and Western-North Region.
